Progressive Print Solutions, Leeds , were in a tight spot when there customer the Print Buyer at Wilkinson called to say that there were errors in the new Wilkinson online and Christmas catalogues and they required more books urgently due to new store openings.
The online reprint job consisted of an extra 2,000 copies of a 172 page catalogue and 4,000 copies of 15 replacement pages. This was closely followed by a further 4000 copies of 14 replacement pages in the Christmas catalogue. All of this within extremely deadlines – 4 or 5 days as a maximum!
The original print supplier and finisher was not able to meet the tight deadlines and so PPS asked Spectrum to quote and then complete for half the job.
